pureti-logolargePURETi

Safe, sustainable, light activated PURETi UV-PCO technology is transforming the surfaces of the world into self-clenaing, air purifying materials that improve our health and benefit the environment.

Benefits of PURETi include:
  • PURETi Clean treated surfaces need to be cleaned HALF as often and cleaning is TWICE as easy when it’s done.
  • Reduces cleaning maintenance costs by 50% and reduces the water, energy, chemicals and labor expended in cleaning.
  • Significantly improves indoor and outdoor air quality by continually eliminating VOCs and harmful green house gases such as Methane and NOx.
  • Actively reduces levels of smog when applied to outdoor surfaces such as cement and building facades.
  • Eliminates stubborn organic malodors such as smoke & human and
    agricultural waste.
  • Creates a super-hydrophilic surface, causing water to sheet away any
    non-organic residue.
  • Only photocatalytic surface treatment with SCS Indoor Advantage Gold Certification.
  • Applicable to virtually any surface including: cement, stone, ceramic tile, painted walls,
    plastic, and metal.
  • One professional application is warranted for 3 years indoors and 5 years outdoors.

Indoor Air Quality

Central to the understanding of indoor air quality is level of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) present in the environment. The higher the level of VOCs, the lower the air quality—pureti products continually reduce VOCs.

VOCs are emitted as gases from certain solids or liquids, such as paints and lacquers, cleaning supplies, pesticides, building materials and furnishings, copiers, printers, glues, adhesives, permanent markers, and photographic solutions.

Some of the most common VOCs that compromise air quality are:

  • Formaldehyde—emitted by some laminated wall paneling and furnishings
  • Methylene chloride—an animal carcinogen found in paint strippers, adhesive removers, and   aerosol spray paints
  • Benzene—a known human carcinogen found in environmental tobacco smoke, stored fuels    and paint supplies, and automobile emissions in attached garages.
  • Perchloroethylene—the chemical most widely used in dry cleaning

Concentrations of VOCs are consistently higher indoors (up to ten times higher) than outdoors.

Applying any PURETi product to an indoor substrate(i.e., walls, windows, ceilings, curtains, carpet) will significantly reduce the presence of VOCs in the air.

Human Health Effects of VOCs Indoors

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), high levels of VOCs can cause: eye, nose, and throat irritation; headaches, loss of coordination, nausea; damage to liver, kidney, and central nervous system.

Key signs or symptoms associated with exposure to VOCs include conjunctival irritation, nose and throat discomfort, headache, allergic skin reaction, nausea, fatigue, and dizziness.

Outdoor Air Quality

One of the biggest threats to our planets environment is ground-level ozone, which is commonly
known as smog.

Smog is created by chemical reactions between oxides of nitrogen (NOx) and VOCs in the presence of sunlight.

Emissions from industrial facilities and electric utilities, motor vehicle exhaust, gasoline vapors, and chemical solvents are some of the major sources of NOx and VOCs.

Applying PURETi surface treatments to common outdoor surfaces such as cement and glass will actively reduce the presence of VOCs and NOx in the air, along with a number of other organic gases that contribute to pollution.

Integrating UV-PCO technology into outdoor substrates can reduce smog by 60%.
